Letterkenny is County Donegal's largest town and is centrally located for touring the major attractions of the northwest. The town has a buzzing nightlife and offers great historical and recreational opportunities for visitors to the area.

Poised at the mouth of the deep and lovely Lough Swilly, the town grew in the 17th century from a small fishing village to a prosperous town in Donegal and the Ecclesiastical Seat for the Diocese of Raphoe. 

Letterkenny is now a busy working town but with all the major amenities needed to allow visitors enjoy a holiday to remember. Surrounded by beautiful scenery, near to magnificent golf clubs and golden beaches the area is a delight with so much to enjoy it will take several visits to take it all in.

Glenveigh National Park
About twenty five minutes drive away from the holiday home this magnificent national park is home to herds of red deer and golden eagles. The Glenveigh National Park has a total area of over 16,500 hectares, making it Ireland's largest. It boasts, like Killarney, beautiful lakes set in impressive mountain scenery (the Park includes the two highest peaks in Donegal - Errigal and Slieve Snacht). Visit website.....
